PANDORA Complimentary Cleaning

Free In-Store Cleaning

PANDORA at The Shops at La Cantera offers complimentary cleaning on all PANDORA jewelry.

We recommend free in-store cleaning at least once every six months.

This prevents tarnishing and any chemicals (lotions, perfumes, etc.) from building up and harming your jewelry. Except in specified cases when pieces need extra care, your jewelry will be cleaned and ready for pick up within the same day.

Remove your jewelry before going to bed or participating in physical activity.

Exposure to harsh chemicals or environments can result in damage to your jewelry. This includes, but is not limited to the following: perspiration, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, salt water, and silver polish.

The PANDORA Care Kit keeps is a convenient way to keep your cleaning products close at hand.

Pick up a PANDORA Care Kit from our store for only $15. It includes a white polishing cloth and storage pouch that are especially formulated for PANDORA Rose. It also includes a black polishing cloth and anti-tarnish pouch for sterling silver. The heart-shaped keychain easily opens the clasp of a PANDORA bracelet. Simply press one corner of the heart into the clasp, and the bracelet will pop open.

For at-home cleanings, the kit also includes a soft-bristled scrub brush. It allows you to clean tiny details on charms, reach inside small grooves, and remove any build-up on your jewelry.

Cleaning at Home

Using a polishing cloth or soap and water, easily clean your jewelry at home.

Pour a small amount of mild soap into lukewarm water, and use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub your jewelry. Let dirtier pieces soak in the soapy water for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, rinse with clean water, and touch up with a PANDORA polishing cloth.

Never use water to clean your PANDORA Essence charms, Murano glass, pearl, mother-or-pearl, leather, or wood jewelry.

To prevent tarnishing, store your jewelry in a Ziploc bag instead of a PANDORA gift box.

Jewelry should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat, in a protective (lined) jewelry box or a tarnish-resistant pouch. It can also be stored in a plastic Ziploc bag. Never use polyvinyl plastic bags, such as trash can liners as they contain sulfur compounds, or rubber containers which will make sterling silver tarnish faster and possibly turn black. Do not store your jewelry in the bathroom.

Also, please do not use PANDORA white gift boxes for long-term storage. They are not airtight and tarnishing will occur at an accelerated rate.

Like all genuine jewelry, gold and silver become worn over time. Depending on the degree of use, bring your jewelry in for inspection at least once a year. It is important that clasps, mounts, and soldering are checked.

Only use the white polishing cloth from the PANDORA Care Kit with PANDORA Rose.

Use the white polishing cloth from the PANDORA Care Kit that is specifically designed to clean PANDORA Rose jewelry. Do not use regular PANDORA polishing cloths, as these contain a cleaning compound that may harm the finish on PANDORA Rose jewelry.

Alternatively, you can clean your PANDORA Rose with a soft cloth. Dampen the cloth in lukewarm water, adding a small amount of mild soap, and rub gently on jewelry. If jewelry is particularly dirty, soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Use of silver polishing liquids, silver dips, ultrasonic cleaning, and a tumbler should be avoided. Do not expose the jewelry to harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and remove jewelry prior to bathing or swimming. Avoid contact with rough surfaces, and store jewelry pieces separately to avoid scratching.

Please note that the warm pink-hued color may intensify with age, adding to the jewelry’s beautiful, vintage appeal.
